"Fairy Going's on..........."

There has been alot of Fairy going's on in our house of late.  Last Thursday morning we spotted a set of teenie tiny fairy footprints outside our Fairy door.  There was a trail of footprints leading from the fairy door towards a pile of fairy trinkets she had left for the kids, with a trail of footprints leading back towards the door.  The kids were blown away by them and the buttons and thimbles she had left for them to find.  After breakfast the kids went straight back to investigate the footprints only to find Max our dog licking the footprints off the floor! Yes, there were lots of tears.......

Here's a few pictures of the Fairy Footprints:

You may notice the little silver plant pot in the above picture, on Sunday our fairy left the kids a present of some magic seeds, the instruction said to plant the seeds and water them everyday and on the 4th day something fantastic will grow! We are going to plant them today so stay posted, we will let you know what magically grows :0),

Today our Fairy left the kids some Fairy Cakes from "The Fairy Cakery Bakery".  One of the tiniest chocolate fudge cake's that we ever did see and a box of fairy doughnuts.  They were almost to nice to eat!! :0), Almost!

What has your fairy been up to of late? We love to hear all about your Fairy Tales.

Kindness Is Always In Style, It Looks Great On Everyone...

Yeap, tomorrow's the 1st Of December "let the count down to Christmas begin" I don't know about you but It feels like we've just packed away the Halloween decorations!! Where did October and November go..

To embrace the true meaning of the Holiday Season, this year we have decided to spread a little Extra Christmas Cheer by participating in some Random Acts of Christmas Kindness.  (R.A.C.K)

For my daily act of kindness all year I've been putting sweet little lunch box notes in between the kids sandwiches, I love doing it and I know they secretly love getting them too. Here is a link to the fab lunch box notes I've been using, designed by the talented Lori from fresh picked whimsy.  Just click on the link, print, cut out and pop into their lunch boxes it's as simple as.

Poitin Stil, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin - Fairy Pub

Only in Ireland Right!!!

James the manager of the Poitin Stil in Rathcoole, contacted us last week. What seemed to be a Fairy Pub had mysteriously appeared in their restaurant.  Of course Fairies don't drink alcohol but they do love music and a good old dance.

We just had to go up and see for ourselves........

Could we have spotted a glimpse of a fairy flitting by?

The moment my kids Spotted our Fairy Door!......Caught On Camera!!

Apologies for the poor camera quality, I recorded this on my mobile phone.

My kids walked into our sitting room only to find a trail of glittering fairy dust that lead to a tiny fairy door, that had just magically appeared. This is my kids new favourite spot in the house! A month on and we're having so much fun with our fairy door.

Both the kids and the fairy's have been busy exchanging little letters and tokens from Fairyland (Sunflower seeds aka fairy food, tiny knitting needles and a tiny ball of wool, in return the kids have left the fairy's some shiny pennies and pictures of what they think the fairy' looks like).  The kids found this little dress fashioned out of flowers, perched in front of our fairy door at the weekend. They were blown away by it......... they can't believe how tiny and stylish their little fairy friend is!

It was the first round of this years parent teacher meetings last week, it was praises all round from their teachers! Phew :0), so I think our fairy friend Fleur will mention this in her letter to them this week and maybe include a chocolate fairy treat each for all their super efforts in school.

Every house needs a Fairy...............

I am a mum of three, I have two wonderful boys Morgan (12) and Jay (7)and a little lady Molly who is 4. The arrival of a mysterious fairy door in our sitting room has set my children's imagination wild.  Here are  some pictures of when the kid  first spotted the little Fairy door........... Childhood magic is truly priceless!
This is what the kids saw!
"A Fairy wind"
This is what we could see....

The Kids had been playing in the sitting room and left to chase our Dog Max around the kitchen. They were only gone for about two minutes when they sat back down to play with their toys they noticed a trail of glitter across the floor, leading them to a miniature fairy door on the wall. On the step of the door was the tiniest gold key I have ever seen.

The kids were amazed, they immediately raced around the house hoping to see the fairy who had put the door there.  They were convinced she was still somewhere in the house. Molly searched the house for another door, just in case there were two!

After many attemptsto try and open the door with the tiny key, we agreed that maybe the door could only be opened by a fairy. So we left the key back on the step for any visiting Fairies. We spent the rest of the day with our ears stuck to the wall trying to hear what was happening in the fairy world on the other side of our magic door.

"Hello" Anyone there?
The following day our fairy left the kids a wax sealed miniature letter introducing herself and her fairy family, along with two golden chocolate kisses.

Most days the fairy leaves little fairy trinkets,  like tiny buttons, thimbles, shiny pennies and the occasional letter.  There's not a day that goes by where I don't see the kids trying to open the door.  I've even over heard them hatching a plan to catch the little fairy folk......... this door has helped us capture the magic of a Christmas morning everyday.
